Drummers, we understand the pain of having to lug heavy drum gear around. That’s why we’ve kitted our rooms out with great quality drums so you can just turn up and play without any worries. Brand new Natal Cafe Racer kits with matching snares have just landed in rooms 1 & 2, but let’s not forget the beautiful Natal Zenith kit in room 3. Each kit comes with a full set of pro level hardware - just add cymbals!

Yesterday, Old School Rehearsal Rooms and Rhythm Room Music School directors @cjmdrums and @kevhickman met up at The New Inn in New Bradwell because this is where in 2015, after a day teaching drums at Old School Studios they first met up to discuss potentially working together in a new business with a name that Chris had coined, Rhythm Room.
Nine(!) years later Rhythm Room has it’s own site with over 25 teachers teaching both at the premises and primary and secondary schools across the local counties. The school has taught thousands of students of all ages the joy of playing music.
When the opportunity arose to take over Rhythm Room’s spiritual home, Old School, it just made sense. And we’re pleased to take it into the next phase of it’s life, amazingly, we’re still hearing that people believe the business is shut, we’ll be working hard over the coming weeks with flyers and advertising to make sure people know we are here!
Going into 2025 will soon mean Kev and Chris’ tenth year of partnership, so please join us as we go into the next decade of working in the local Milton Keynes music scene.

In our first month we’re amazed to have had 34 bookings so far, with new ones coming in almost every day. That’s a whopping 96 hours of bands and musicians making noise in our rooms. 👏🏻🎵🤘🏻

Kev, Chris and Moe are happy to announce that Old School Rehearsal Rooms is now OPEN!
There has been so much to do as we essentially took over an empty unit with five rooms in it. We’ve been hard at work redecorating, buying and installing new equipment and setting up all our new security and automation systems.
A huge thank you to the wonderful community of businesses and local people that have supported us over the last six weeks, we’ve been completely overwhelmed by the generosity with big discounts and even free equipment. I think we would have struggled a lot more without it.
The business has been set up to run contact-free and autonomously, you book online, are provided an access code on the day and just have to turn up and rehearse, we’re hoping that bands and musicians will enjoy the convenience of this setup.

We’ve been hard at work decorating the new rehearsal studio in New Bradwell, Milton Keynes, if you haven’t already, make sure to register your interest in rehearsals.

Old School Studios has been operating for nearly 20 years, allowing bands a place to rehearse but most importantly, has been part of the fabric of the Milton Keynes music scene. When it closed its doors in May it was felt throughout the whole music community and I know bands have struggled finding availability at other locations. Today Chris Mansbridge, Moe Hickman and I are very happy to announce that we have taken over the space!
To keep the spirit alive, we will be calling this new business Old School Rehearsal Rooms, there’s lots to do, lots of equipment to buy and a lot of work needed in the unit, but we will be working tirelessly over the next few weeks to open our doors as soon as possible. If you or anyone you know are interested in being one of the first bands to rehearse in one of the three fully sound proofed, airconditioned and refurbished rooms read on.
