Whether you’re spending today with family, sneaking off to listen to demos with headphones on, or already planning the first loud rehearsal of the new year, we just wanted to say a massive thank you.

Old School exists because of the bands, musicians and creatives who walk through the doors every week. Seeing ideas turn into songs, songs turn into sets, and sets turn into gigs is still what makes this place special.

We hope you’re having a great Christmas, taking a breather, and recharging ready for whatever 2025 throws at you. The rooms will be waiting when you’re ready to turn it back up.

One year ago today, Old School Rehearsal Rooms had just opened. I posted saying we were amazed to have 34 bookings in our very first month — a whopping 96 hours of bands and musicians coming in to rehearse.

Fast forward one year, and here we are… just over halfway through the month and we’ve already had 94 bookings. That’s over 246 hours of rehearsals. Absolutely wild.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all of the bands and musicians who’ve used us. It genuinely means the world that people not only come to the studio, but enjoy it enough to keep coming back.

When we first took over the unit, the previous business had closed — it had even been labelled “unviable.” But thanks to a huge amount of support from local companies like @blackstaramps, @marshallamps, @nataldrumsofficial, @yamaha.audio, and of course all the amazing local people who gave their time, amps, soundproofing, advice, and encouragement… we’ve been able to bring it back to life.

Thank you so much for all your support this past year. Here’s to another one. ❤️🥁🎸
